# Why You Can’t Delete Audience Members in Letterhead

## At Letterhead, compliance with email regulations like CAN-SPAM is a top priority. That’s why the option to delete audience members is no longer available.

**Why?**

We retain unsubscribed emails to prevent them from being accidentally re-added to future lists. Deleting them could result in accidental re-subscriptions, which would violate CAN-SPAM rules.

**What You Can Do:**

- **Unsubscribe Properly**: Encourage your audience to use the unsubscribe link in each newsletter. This ensures they’re removed from your active list and won’t receive future emails.

- **Need a Full Removal?** For legal or compliance-related deletions, please email us at support@tryletterhead.com.  We’ll handle the request while ensuring continued compliance.
